The project is complet

This is the last post of the CLIL's course.
In this post I want to share with you the last planned activity and the summary presentation.

In this last module we work around the ICT resources, we discovered a lot of pages with digital resources and I want emphazise the web "artefactos digitales" by Conecta 13.

I integrated an ICT resource in my unit. I programmed the groupal presentation using the Screencast-o-matic to capture a video of the digital process creation of the logotype. Here it is:

Later we summarized the whole unit under the idea of Elevator Pitch. I did a presentation using an resource I didn't know before: Emaze.
I really think this resource it's amazing but you can judge it by yourself.

Powered by emaze Isn't it spectacular? I really enjoied doing this.

This was a waited module because I enjoy with the ICT. I already knew some of the ICT resources introduced in this module but there are some other I didn't knew and I love it.

I chose Screencast-o-matic to use in my unit but in "artefactos digitales" there are a lot of another interesting resources related with photography, animation, presentations...
To summarize my unit I chose Emaze but the teachers proposed us kizoa and Powtoon too. This last one is specially funny to play at class.

FINAL REFLECTION ABOUT THE COURSE:
To think around the course, the teachers suggests us to make some appointments:

· 3 things I have learnt:
- Cooperative activities and how integrate it in my classes.
- Different kind of assessment.
- Amazing resources like Symbaloo, Piktochart and Emaze.

·2 things I will do in my lessons.
Hang informative posters in the classroom
- Thinking routines

·1 thing I will continue learning about.
- Cross-cultural activities

I really feel I have made a complete unit's planification and I'm happy to have been done this course. It has been difficult to combine the house responsabilities, the family life, the job tasks (specially the last week with the end of the term) and this intensive course but I'm proud to have done it. And now, I will have a calm Christmas days.

I think I improved my english. In the start of the course I searched a lot of vocabulary of the theoretical information and at the end it was just a few words.

Finally I recommend everyone to go deep into CLIL's world.

Merry Christmas!

Thinking routines and assessment of the unit

In this post I'm going to share  the thinking routine I have planned for my unit and three different ways to assess the student.

The CLIL course teachers shared with us a link with a lot of interesting thinking routines to improve the critical spirit of the students. Here is the link.

I chosen the thinking routine called Creative questions and here is the application of this thinking routine.

Then we worked around the assessment. We learnt the different kinds of assessment and the advantages and disadvantages of these.

I have made a rubric, a self assessment activity and a peer-assessment contract.

In this module I've learnt new ways to present the assessment activities to the students. Activities more visual, attractives and implicatives.

Nowadays in my classes I make the assessment with rubrics, a little bit different but rubrics at the end, so I am familiarized with this kind of assessment. But I never been working the self assessment and the peer-assessment activities. It has been a good opportunity.

I found interesting all the thinking routines and I wish to apply this to the class soon. I really want to know more of this kind of activities.

In the last module I discovered a very interesting topic to work at class: the cross-cultural ideas. I think it is very important to work with the pupils. With the digital resource Symbaloo I made three webmixes about cross-cultural, CLIL and my art unit. Here are the links:

I wish you can enjoy it.

Planning and complementing the unit

In this module I've been working on planning the unit, first I summarized the communication skills that will develop my students:

Then I've been planning the cooperative activities of the unit.

I worked hard but I've enjoyed creating an inphography for the classroom.

Finally I wrote about the previous knowledge of my students and what will they learn with my unit.

In this module I've learned new cooperative work strategies and I've made a list of it. I've discovered a new resources like piktochart and thinglink. And I've progressed with my unit's planning.

I really spend a lot of time making my inphography, searching and synthesizing the information, creating or searching and editing the images and creating my inphography from zero. But I enjoyed it a lot.I'm sure I will use in my future units.

I wish we could discover more resources like these.

When I had a doubt I searched in the support forum and I always found the same doubt, asked and solved by any other classmate.

Sometimes is difficult to understand some concepts like "language through" or KWL and I think I finally understood it through examples. I really value the unit plan examples I've found.

And I don't know if it is true but I feel I'm improving my english, so... let's go CLIL!

Why not CLIL?

I am currently doing a online AICLE course. The methodology is varied but always using the ICT.

The first activity is a SWOT on the project CLIL and this is my analysis.

In this activity my problem was to arrange the ítems in the correct place. I hope I made it correctly.

The second activity was planning a unit.

In this course, I would like to investigate new methodologies and resources to make my classes more interactive.
I'm worried about my level of English and want to know some kind of contact or resource to correct or improve my English.
